Thank you to everyone who completed our National League Cup survey. In total, 492 supporters completed the survey.
We analysed the results before our meeting with the Club this evening. The results were overwhelmingly negative towards the new competition. We presented the results to Darren Royle, the Club CEO, and Dale Harris, the Head of Commercial who we met earlier this evening.
We have attached the presentation we shared with them below so you can see what fans said.
The Headlines:
9 in 10 Latics fans opposed the new competition.
91% of fans said they won't attend any of the group games.
Only 22% said they would consider attending a knockout game.
Darren committed to publishing a statement from the Club explaining the Board's reasons for joining the competition. We will also be publishing our meeting notes once the Club have checked them for inaccuracies, which is our usual arrangement.
